Training - outdoor photography.

What will I learn on an outdoor course?
A lot of people struggle to get good outdoor shots. One of the reasons for this may be that modern cameras try to take over the thought processes that are needed for good photography, so people tend to leave everything on automatic in the hope that the camera will get it right!

So we go back to the basics, concentrating on how to get creative effects by using different apertures to control depth of field, different shutter speeds to either freeze action or to introduce creative movement blur, how and when to use both wideangle and telephoto lens effects, how to compose your images (using subject position, colour etc.), the importance of both camera position and camera height. Etc.

This type of information is almost impossible to learn from books, magazines and websites. Some people manage to pick it up as they go along but this can take years - you'll be amazed at the difference to both the quality of your photography and your knowledge after just one day!

And you'll also get free access to all of our Photolearn tutorials, for future information and support and you'll also take a disk with all your pictures on it, plus you'll take home any Polaroids you've shot, and you'll also have full and completely free ongoing telephone support.

How much can you learn in just one day?
You'll learn enough to be able to photograph your chosen type of subject in a creative and technically competent way! Once you've spent a day with us you'll only need to practice your new skills to gain experience. You will also get your own free copy of all of our tutorials, for future information and support and you'll also take a disk with all your pictures on it, plus you'll take home any Polaroids you've shot, and you'll also have full and completely free ongoing telephone support.

Cameras.
Our digital camera produce high quality images, which you can take home with you on disk. We have everything we need for our high-end commercial work, but we fully appreciate that you are unlikely to have similar facilities and our courses are ideal for people who have a minimum of equipment and who don't want to waste money buying items that they can manage without. One spin-off from attending our courses is that people who have been here are far less likely to waste money buying unsuitable equipment in the future.

What will you need to bring with you?
Most people bring along a camera, but this is optional because you're welcome to use our equipment. Although we provide detailed course notes it's a good idea to bring a notebook and a pen.

How long does the Workshop last?
1 day, 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

When will the next Course be held?
Your course can be arranged for any time convenient to you, subject to our work diary.

How much will it cost?
£470. If models need to be employed this will cost extra.
