Training - glamour photography.
Learn how to shoot glamour models creatively, and produce excellent glamour photographs. We cover the aesthetic and technical aspects of glamour photography. After you have completed the course, you will only need to practice your new skills to gain experience. This course is aimed at photographers of all experience. If you studio lighting experience it does not mater - you will end your day knowing how to light one or more subjects with up to 4 lights. We will cover lighting both the model and the background. You will learn which types of background will work and how to pose and work with your subjects.
| What we will cover: |
|
|
- Glamour posing.
- Lighting both model and background.
- Camera positions and angles.
- Composition.
- Measuring exposure. |
|
- Choice & type of backgrounds.
- How to choose a shooting distance.
- Arranging clothing and props.
- Specialised lighting effects. |
We will cover which type of film (or digital setup) to use, how to measure the light, how to set hairlights and backlighting, how to create both high and low-key effects. Each workshop is completely individual, the exact content and depth of teaching will depend on your personal learning needs and on your own level of existing knowledge and experience. Our fashion photographer has recently had his work profiled in two leading magazines, including the leading professional photography magazine. You will also get your own free copy of all of our tutorials, for future information and support and you'll also take a disk with all your pictures on it, plus you'll take home any Polaroids you've shot, and you'll also have full and completely free ongoing telephone support.
Please note: although we're happy to teach tasteful glamour photography we do not teach 'mens magazine' style.
How much do our models cost?
We will need to arrange for models, which you will have to pay for at cost. Glamour models charge £125 for a half day, which is the amount of time we recommend. If you prefer, you can bring your own model. You can now book your model on-line - please clickhere.
Lighting.
We have a wide range of flash equipment including 3x100-Joule flasheads, 2x400-Joule flasheads, 1x800-Joule flashheads, a 1200-Joule flashhead, a 2400-Joule generator flash, a 6000-Joule Generator flash and a 4800-Joule generator flash. As well as the usual softboxes and brollies, we have wide-angle, standard and high-intensity reflectors, 3 different types of honeycombs, a snoot and 2 focussing spotlights. We also have a couple of HMI lights. Our wide range of specialised equipment is essential for us because our studio handles a wide spectrum of commercial work ranging from food to fashion, but only very basic equipment is needed for fashion photography.
By attending one of our studio courses you will be able to save far more than the cost of the course, because you will know exactly which items of equipment you need to buy and, equally importantly, which items to avoid.
Cameras.
Our digital camera produces high quality images which can be seen immediately on computer, and which you can take home with you on disk. We have everything we need for our high-end commercial work, but we fully appreciate that you are unlikely to have similar facilities and our courses are ideal for people who have a minimum of equipment and who don't want to waste money buying items that they can manage without. One spin-off from attending our courses is that people who have been here are far less likely to waste money buying unsuitable equipment in the future.
What will you need to bring with you?
Most people bring along a camera, but this is optional because you're welcome to use our equipment. Although we provide detailed course notes it's a good idea to bring a notebook and a pen.
How long does the Workshop last?
1 day, 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
When will the next Course be held?
Your course can be arranged for any time convenient to you, subject to our work diary.
How much will it cost?
£470. If models need to be employed this will cost extra.
