The problem is, most models don't get the type of portfolio shots they need and deserve. Model portofolios need to show the model as s/he really is, as as they can be, with differerent clothes, different lighting, different camera positions, different backgrounds and so on - but most model portfolios are just a collection of cheesy poses taken against horrible studio backgrounds. These shots don't get work for models, they just demonstrate that the model is just a complete beginner who hasn't done any modelling work!
